NT - Hash MD5

Any digitally transferred file from one location to another has the probability of being corrupted and this missing information can cause this file not to open or to work properly. As a solution to validate a file’s integrity, meaning to check if it is functional and intact, hash algorithms were created.

This technical note will discuss the use of Hash MD5 to ensure that a firmware file is intact and can be used during Furukawa’s equipment update procedures. The integrity check examples will be presented using tools available by default for Linux, macOS and Windows operating systems.
